Hailing from the land "Down Under," Greg brings over 15 years IT experience, previously working as a Software Systems Analyst with GASCOR/Hitachi Data Systems in Australia, and as a small business owner here in the United States.

Matthew Byrd

Technology Consultant, Home Office: Roanoke

As a Technology Consultant with Affinity’s Roanoke office, Matthew provides client support for hardware, software, and business technology processes. Matthew attended Roanoke College where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration. After seeing the impact of technology in business today, he enrolled at Skyline College and earned an Associate Degree of Computer & Information Science. Matthew has a wide array of skills including networking, troubleshooting, and computer virtualization as well as business administration.

Brian Cluxton

Home Office: Columbus

Brian D. Cluxton is Vice President and Senior Consultant for Affinity's Columbus, OH office. He joined Affinity as a Consultant in February 2001. He received his B.A. (Political Science) from The Ohio State University and Post-graduate Paralegal Certificate from Capital University Law School. Brian is a Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Certified Consultant for Amicus Attorney practice management software and manages the hardware/network installation services, Managed IT Services and technical support department.

Stacy Devlin

Senior Legal Technology Consultant, Home Office: Roanoke

Stacy Devlin is one of Affinity's Senior Legal Technology Consultants. She is a graduate of Radford University with a Bachelor of Science in Social Science with a Certificate to Teach History and Political Science. Before becoming a consultant, Stacy worked as a paralegal for a large law firm in South Carolina and then as a litigation paralegal and network administrator for a mid-size law firm in Virginia. Stacy is also past-president of the Roanoke Valley Paralegal Association, having served two consecutive terms as President. She was also on their Board of Representatives for several years. Stacy became a consultant in 2003 and specializes in consulting and training on front office software for law firms. Her expertise extends to Practice Management, Document Assembly, Document Management, and Voice Recognition. With her combined legal and technical experience, Stacy can recommend the best front office software solutions for your firm and train your staff how to utilize the software efficiently.

Lauren Dunne, JD

Legal Technology Consultant, Home Office: Roanoke

Lauren Dunne is a Legal Technology Consultant who joined Affinity Roanoke after gaining experience in various areas of the legal field.

In 2005, Lauren graduated magna cum laude from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. Lauren then went directly to law school, graduating from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2008. During law school Lauren worked as a legal clerk for the training and compliance department of Lancer Insurance Company, a multi-line commercial insurer. In this role she gained significant training experience, assisting in the creation and implementation of various continuing education courses for the company's adjusters. Lauren was also responsible for successfully maintaining and integrating multiple database systems essential to the upkeep of the company's compliance standards. Upon graduation from law school Lauren moved to Virginia and served as the judicial clerk for the 25th Judicial Circuit Court of Virginia. As a judicial clerk, Lauren was exposed to the daily functions of the court system and became proficient in the area of legal research.

John Federico

Sr. Consultant, Home Office: Columbus

John A. Federico, Esq. is an attorney and consultant for Affinity Consulting. Prior to joining Affinity, John practiced law for nine years litigating personal injury cases, insurance cases, and numerous appeals. He is also a licensed patent attorney. He now specializes in HotDocs document assembly software and software training. John received his B.B.A. in Decision Science from the University of Toledo, J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis, and B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University. He is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association. He has prior experience in using a wide variety of systems including Windows, Macintosh, and Linux, and programming experience in Basic, Pascal, C, C++ and assembly language.

Rian Fehrman

Technology Consultant, Home Office: Tampa

As a Technology Consultant for the Affinity-Tampa office, Rian works in areas such as Software Installation, Implementation, Configuration and Training. Prior to joining Affinity, Rian worked for several years as a Technical Trainer for one of the worlds largest electronics companies, and has been teaching various technologies for over 10 yrs. In addition, Rian has an extensive background in Audio / Visual Technology and on his free time you are likely to find him working on various Sound Design projects.

Erica Fujimoto

Director, Default Services, Home Office: Tampa

Erica Fujimoto is Director of Default Services for Affinity Consulting Group. She specializes in the CaseAware Case Management and Integration Suite and default process organization and management. Erica graduated with honors from Ohio Wesleyan University in International Business and Japanese Studies, and has been in the default arena for over 11 years. During that time she worked for a major mortgage servicer in bankruptcy and foreclosure, and then for mid to large-sized law firms in Florida and Georgia, first as an analyst and paralegal, then senior supervising paralegal, and finally as a CaseAware Administrator, Trainer and Default Systems Manager. Erica is familiar with the foreclosure/bankruptcy laws in states across the country, and can help your firm to implement, customize, maintain and update the software, as well as train your staff to utilize it effectively.

Dawnese Hawkins

Practice Management Consultant, Home Office: Tampa

Prior to becoming an Affinity Consultant, Dawnese worked as a Controller for a mid-size default law firm, manufacturing company, and a rental store.  Dawnese has 13 years accounting and technical experience with various software and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.  Dawnese also helped her firm implement and maintain the CaseAware Suite, and is knowledgeable in all aspects of the program.  Her experience in accounting and process management give her the tools needed to support our varying clients.

Al Hill

Sr. Network Consultant, Home Office: Tampa

Albert T. Hill is the Senior Network Consultant/Network Manager for Affinity Consulting Group's Tampa office. He joined the Affinity Consulting team as a consultant in April 2008. Al is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) with 10 years of technology experience. Prior to his position with Affinity, Al served his country in the U.S. Air Force for nearly 13 years and worked as a Network/Systems Engineer for other companies in the Tampa Bay area.

Chase Jenkins, Esq.

Process Management Consultant, Default Services, Home Office: Tampa

Chase Jenkins is an attorney and a process management consultant with Affinity Consulting Group.  He is a graduate of St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, FL, where he obtained his Juris Doctor. Previously, he clerked for a Florida Circuit Civil Court Judge where his primary focus was foreclosure law research and case file review and is now a member of the Florida Bar Association.  He later worked for a large foreclosure default law firm before joining Affinity.

Ted Kriss

Process Management Consultant, Default Services, Home Office: Tampa

Ted Kriss is a Process Management Consultant for Affinity’s Default Services Team.  Prior to becoming a Consultant, Ted worked in both a technical and accounting capacity for numerous public and private companies, and then at multiple law firms as a foreclosure paralegal and CaseAware Administrator.  He is proficient in data migration, accounting setup, report creation, document assembly, and paperless process.  Ted’s experience as a program user gives him the insight needed to effectively implement and customize the CaseAware system for your firm.  

Liz Lamar, JD

Liz Lamar is a management consultant with Affinity Consulting Group.  She is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Law where she obtained her Juris Doctor in 1999.  Before working as a consultant, Liz served as Vice President for a multi-state title company and Director of Operations for a law firm and an international art gallery.  With over 17 years of practical management experience, Liz assists clients in the areas business process re-engineering, strategic management and team building.  She is also a certified Circuit Civil Mediator.

Brian Mark

Consultant, Home Office: Columbus

Brian D. Mark, Esq. is an attorney and consultant for Affinity's Columbus, OH office specializing primarily in HotDocs document assembly software. Brian first began programming in BASIC on a Commodore Pet in the early 1980s. He has since moved on to coding in Python, Ruby, and C# on Windows and Linux based systems. At Affinity, Brian has developed a wide range of HotDocs templates, automated PDF forms, and database backed applications for our clients.

Chris Martz

Chris Martz, a Technology Project Specialist with the Roanoke, Virginia office, provides hardware and software technical support, network engineering and planning, and legal software consulting. Chris graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Virginia Tech and has 18 years of experience in the computer industry. During his career, Chris has worked as a web designer, support technician, software consultant, computer trainer and systems administrator. Prior to joining the Affinity team, Chris worked for 6 years at a mid-size law firm in Roanoke doing computer training, software implementation and systems administration. 

Phillip Metcalf

Speech Solution Specialist, Home Office: Roanoke

Phil Metcalf has over 30 years of professional IT software experience. He has focused on Speech Technology for the last 10 years. As our Speech Solutions Specialist, Phil installs, configures and trains users of Dragon Naturally Speaking and Philips Dictation products for lawyers, doctors and law enforcement professionals. As a Nuance Communications Systems Engineer, he designed large call center speech applications for Fortune 500 call centers in banking, electrical utilities, telecommunications and transportation so that customers can call their speech applications and get information and perform transactions without speaking to a call center representative.

Jean Morningstar

Technology Consultant, Home Office: Tampa

Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Jeannie Morningstar moved to Southwest Florida in 1995. Prior to joining the Affinity Consulting team, Jeannie was the Office Administrator for a law firm specializing in condominium and homeowner association law. Prior to that, she worked for the past 15 years as a paralegal in the fields of civil and criminal law as well as for the U.S. Attorney's Office and Department of Interior.  Jeannie earned her AAB in Paralegal Studies, earning the outstanding paralegal studies student award, from Lakeland Community College in Ohio and her BA in Public Administration from Barry University in Florida.  Along with her considerable legal experience, Jeannie brings with her, her experience as an end user of PC Law.  Jeannie also serves on the Board of Directors for SWFAS (Southwest Florida Addiction Services).

Michelle Motyka

Michelle Motyka is one of Affinity’s Senior Legal Technology Consultants.  She is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Library Science.  She also obtained her Post-Degree Paralegal Certificate from Cuyahoga Community College.  Michelle worked in the legal field for ten years as a paralegal for a large law firm in Cleveland, Ohio and as a litigation support specialist for a large law firm in Buffalo, New York.  Michelle became a consultant in 2005 and specializes in Practice Management, Document Management, Litigation Support, and Billing and Accounting.

Bryce Phillips

Bryce Phillips is an IT Technical Support Specialist for the Columbus, Ohio office of Affinity Consulting he specializes in desktop end user support. Bryce works with Affinity's clients providing technical support for desktop hardware and software issues. Bryce holds two industry certifications Comp-TIA  A+ and Comp-TIA Network + that he obtained while attending a technical college working towards his MCSA.

Art Roehrenbeck

As Senior Practice Management Consultant for Affinity Consulting in Columbus, OH, Art handles installation, customization and training of Practice Management Software for Affinity's clients. Art attended The Ohio State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. Before joining Affinity, Art worked for Columbus law firm as Office and IT Manager. His background as a former law office administrator has uniquely prepared him to help understand and solve common law firm Practice Management problems and provide solutions that can help firms become more efficient and ultimately, more profitable. Art specializes in utilizing a firm's existing practice forms and procedures in concert with a Practice Management solution such as LexisNexis Time Matters or Amicus Attorney to help firms improve client service and office efficiency.

Dan Thomas

Daniel M. Thomas, a Network Consultant for the Columbus, OH office of Affinity Consulting, works with Affinity's clients providing support for workstations, servers, and network equipment. Dan attended the University of Toledo, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering Technology. While attending the University of Toledo, he worked as part of the IT Department for the University. Dan also attended Stautzenburger College, where he took courses in preparation for the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer Exams. Prior to coming to Affinity, Dan worked for 3 years at a popular computer and network consulting firm in Toledo. While there, he held the position of Lead Service Technician and Manager.

Drew Tompkins

Drew is a graduate of the University of Alabama where he received his Bachelor of Arts from the College of Communication & Information Sciences with a major in Telecommunication and Film.   Drew specializes in Amicus Attorney, PCLaw, HotDocs and Worldox. Although "based" in our Atlanta office, Drew and his wife live near Pasadena, California.
