Backups! ... everyone knows they should have one, but do you have your backup configured properly? We are seeing a number of instances where sites recently using cloud-based backup services (Carbonite, MozyPro, etc.) do not backup hidden files or hidden folders, only to find out when restoring from a crash that you are missing all of your Worldox data files! You need to make sure that the hidden xname*.* files in your cabinet's base path structures are being backed up, along with the hidden version folders containing the documents previous versions. This is critical. Verify that your back system is capturing these files. It is always a good idea to spot check your backup system by requesting your I.T. folks to do test restores a few times a year.
You should also remember to exclude your Worldox central profile and text databases from the nightly backup as backing them up could cause problems. Those central databases do not need to be backed up because they can either be recreated from the xname's and text of the files, as they are secondary databases , or you could copy them back to the server from the local backup on the Indexer's local drive from the last nightly build.
