Affinity Gives Back – Columbus Office Works With Legal Aid

On January 26th, Affinity Consulting’s Columbus office partnered with The Legal Aid Society of Columbus to offer a day-long free Microsoft Word training for 21 Legal Aid professionals. Lawyers use Word for the bulk of their daily work load – recent developments in this software enable more efficient means to set up, create, and manage documents. The more efficient Legal Aid professionals can be, the more people they can help.

Lawyers and legal professionals often face the stereotype that they are solely focused  on billing hours and building their business. Affinity wants to change this perception. “Word is the most common tool used in law offices today. It is also the most underutilized. If you know how to use it effectively, you can increase your productivity and reduce stress. For our colleagues at Legal Aid, that means that they have more time and energy to serve the people who need their help the most,” says John Federico, Esq., Senior Consultant at Affinity and trainer for the Legal Aid session.
