As law firms move from “should we use AI” to “how do we actually do this,” Affinity is putting someone on the ground to help answer that question—for firms of every size.
That’s the work Zack Glaser is stepping into as he moves from Legal Tech Advisor into a new role focused on AI implementation and strategy.
Built for the Work Ahead
Zack isn’t new to Affinity.
For years, he’s shifted to wherever the need was greatest. He started at Lawyerist, where he built a reputation guiding small firms through building their tech stack from the ground up—work that grew into his roles as legal tech advisor, Lawyerist Podcast host, and editorial writer, and made him a trusted voice for members working through hard technology questions. As his role expanded with the Affinity merger, that same expertise stretched to serve firms of every size, mid-size and beyond.
As AI moved from novelty to necessity, Zack’s expertise in it grew right along with it.
The fit was obvious.
“Zack has a way of making complicated ideas feel approachable, and that’s exactly what firms need right now as they figure out AI,” said CEO Debbie Foster. “This role is a natural fit for the work he’s already been doing, and I can’t wait to see the impact he has on our clients.”
For Zack, stepping into this role wasn’t a hard call.
“This is actually a little bit more getting back to my roots of what I was brought here for,” said Glaser.
A Track Record of Making Hard Things Work
Before legal tech, Zack was an owner and managing attorney at The Glaser Firm, a civil litigation practice in Tennessee. In 2017, he founded Tech4Lawyers to help attorneys understand the technology reshaping their profession.
He holds a B.A. in Religion from Rhodes College, a J.D. from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, and a Fullstack Web Development certificate from Udacity.
It’s an unusual mix. Law, technology, teaching, building.
That combination is exactly what this role calls for.
What He Brings to Affinity
As AI Implementation Strategist, Zack is focused on helping firms move from AI curiosity to AI capability—no matter their size.
That includes:
- Advising firms on which AI tools fit their needs
- Hands-on implementation of AI tools
- Strategic guidance on AI tools
- Small-group, in-person training designed to drive real adoption, not just exposure
He’s stepping into the role at a pivotal moment. Firms large and small are asking the same question—how do we do this—and most don’t yet have a clear answer.
Zack’s job is to give them one.
A Strategist Who Makes the Complex Feel Simple
Zack is known for taking complicated ideas and making them land. Not by oversimplifying them, but by explaining them in a way that gets people on board and builds confidence.
“It’s not doing magic. It’s doing math,” Zack says of AI—the kind of reframe that turns fear into something firms can actually work with.
He’s also just easy to be around while he does it. Curious, funny, first to offer help, and always building something on the side.
Based on his history, one thing’s certain: in this new role, Zack will continue to leave people better off than he found them.
What This Means for Affinity Clients
For solo and small firm clients who’ve relied on Zack as their go-to advisor, he remains the same trusted resource—now backed by deeper, hands-on implementation support.
For larger firms, it means having someone in the room who can help pick the right tools, build what’s missing, and get a team using them—not just talking about them.
The result: firms stop stalling on AI and start making real progress—choosing the right tools, building what they need, and putting them to use, with Zack guiding the process.
