Affinity’s new Chief Revenue Officer will lead a more connected approach to growth, aligning systems, teams, and execution to better support law firms.
Law firms are rethinking how they grow.
Most are still held back by disconnected systems, gaps in how work gets done, and misalignment across the firm. Affinity is building a different approach, helping firms connect those systems, align their teams, and follow through in a way that supports growth.
That’s the work Scott Clasen is here to lead as Affinity’s Chief Revenue Officer.
Built for the Work Ahead
Scott isn’t new to Affinity. Since January, he’s been working alongside both the Affinity and Lawyerist teams as a Go-To-Market Strategist, helping shape how we approach growth across the business.
The impact was clear early on.
Now, as CRO, Scott joins the Leadership Team to lead Revenue Operations, overseeing both sales and marketing and bringing greater alignment to how we serve clients.
“It didn’t take long to see the impact Scott would have here,” said CEO Debbie Foster. “He has a way of stepping into complex challenges, bringing structure to them, and helping the team move forward with confidence. I’m excited to have him leading this next phase of growth.”
For Scott, the decision to step into this role came down to something simple.
The people.
After working closely with the team, he saw a culture that embraces change, challenges assumptions, and focuses on solving problems.
“After spending time working with the team, the decision to join was easy—the people at Affinity and the way they approach solving client problems set them apart,” said Clasen.
Those qualities have kept Affinity at the forefront of legal consulting for decades. And they don’t stay behind the scenes. They show up in how Affinity works with clients every day.
A Track Record of Making Hard Things Work
Scott brings more than a decade of legal tech experience, most recently as VP of Marketing at ProfitSolv, where he helped unify sales and marketing across 10 acquired companies. That kind of work is complex, high-stakes, and operationally demanding. It requires systems thinking, strong communication, and the ability to get teams moving in the same direction.
His career path didn’t follow a straight line.
Before legal tech, Scott spent more than 20 years in the Twin Cities youth sports world, working across sales, marketing, and IT. Along the way, he also taught high school social studies and, yes, even spent some winters as a ski bum in California.
It’s a mix of experiences that explains a lot. Scott knows how to teach, how to build, how to lead, and how to connect those skills into something teams can actually use.
What He Brings to Affinity
As CRO, Scott is focused on building a more connected, effective revenue engine, from first interaction to long-term partnership.
This role reflects a broader shift inside Affinity: treating growth as a system, not a series of disconnected efforts.
That includes:
- Aligning sales and marketing under a shared strategy
- Strengthening the systems that support growth
- Designing processes that teams can actually execute
- Leading with accountability and clarity across functions
He’s stepping into the role at a pivotal time.
Law firms are rethinking how they operate, from how they attract clients to how they deliver services. Most are still stitching those pieces together.
Scott is focused on helping Affinity and the firms we serve build something more intentional.
A Leader Who Makes the Work Better
Scott is known for his ability to untangle complicated systems and rebuild them into something usable and effective. But what stands out is how he shows up while doing it, with energy, curiosity, and a sense of humor that keeps the work moving.
He’s someone who says yes first and figures out the details next. It’s a mindset that shows up in the range of roles he’s taken on and in the way he approaches the work today.
Based in Minneapolis, Scott lives with his wife and two kittens. Outside of work, you’ll find him on the golf course, cooking, reading, or recharging along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
What This Means for Affinity Clients
Scott’s role is focused on how Affinity connects with and supports clients from the very beginning, aligning marketing, business development, and the systems behind them.
For clients, that shows up in a more consistent experience from first interaction through engagement. Clearer communication early on. A more connected path into the right services. And a smoother transition from initial conversations into active work.
The result is a more seamless experience from the very beginning and stronger alignment throughout.
