Professional Details

Jacob is a Practice Management Consultant who helps law firms implement, optimize, and support their software systems. His work includes guiding firms through legal tech platforms, data migrations, workflow design, and user training to ensure their technology supports their business goals. Looking ahead, he aims to bring a select number of Centerbase data migrations in-house next year, allowing Affinity to deliver even more seamless and efficient transitions for clients.

Jacob’s favorite part of his work is identifying workflow and process gaps and solving them before anyone else spots them. He loves helping clients work more efficiently and seeing the meaningful, positive impact on their daily operations.

Jacob began his career at Centerbase in its early days, joining as employee #49. Over his four years there, he progressed from Support Specialist to Implementation Specialist, and ultimately to Senior Data Migration Engineer. In that role, he led full-scale historical data migrations from clients’ legacy systems into Centerbase, working extensively with SQL and Python while also advising clients on best practices for efficient migration.

After Centerbase, he spent several months in the Ed-tech sector, where he supported data migrations for students on the autism spectrum and collaborated with school administrators to ensure smooth, successful transitions.

Jacob’s superpower is adaptable problem-solving. He quickly adjusts to new challenges and consistently finds creative solutions, even when circumstances shift unexpectedly.

Personal Details

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys staying active—going for walks, spending time at the gym, or playing pickleball with his wife and friends. He also loves tackling DIY projects around the house, cooking, and exploring theology.
