Kathy Powell

Professional Details

Kathy’s critical role at Affinity includes all things human resources, including insurance, payroll, 401K administration, onboarding, and much more. She is also responsible for ordering software for our clients. Kathy worked as a legal secretary right out of high school. From 1987 to 2000, she worked for a government contracting company (Raytheon) as a project coordinator. Kathy first worked for Debbie Foster, Affinity’s managing partner, in Debbie’s early years at InTouch Business Consultants. From 2002 to 2013, she worked for another government contracting company, L-3 Communications, as an office manager/project coordinator. But since “all roads lead back to Affinity,” Kathy came back to work with Debbie in 2013.

Kathy’s superpowers are her abilities to listen and calm a difficult situation. Her favorite parts of her job are helping Affinity’s staff and building relationships.

Personal Details

Kathy loves spending time with her family (Bob, Erin, Alex, and his wife Aubrey) and their pets (dogs Nigel and Sunny, and some adorable guinea pigs). She lives five minutes from the Gulf of Mexico, so she loves going to the beach. Favorite pastimes include sunning, evening walks, and Sunday nights with friends. She also enjoys cooking new recipes, photography, and crafting.
