Affinity Consulting Blog

There has been a lot of grumbling by Microsoft loyalists that a touch-enabled version of Office came first to iOS and Android devices. What about tablets and phones running Windows?

Sometime later this year, around the time Windows 10 reaches consumers, Office for Windows 10 will also be released. It will offer touch-optimized versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook for small screen devices like Windows phones and tablets. It will be an entirely separate product from the new desktop version of Office, which will be called Office 2016 and should arrive at about the same time during the second half of 2015.

So if you have a Dell Venue Pro, Acer Iconia, Asus VivoTab, Toshiba Encore or similar Windows tablet, or a Lumia smart phone, your wait for touch-enabled Office is almost over.
